Feeling A Little Preppy

April 2nd, 2011

Gorgeous preppy details! Tinywater Photography had an amazing photo session with a touch of tweed and a lot of prep in McKinley Park at Sacramento. It was a styled engagement shoot involving an entire team of great individuals, such as our great hair and makeup artist, Rona Basa of Luxe Image – San Francisco wedding makeup artist (everyone involved listed below)!

I really adore these cute props. Botanica Floral Designs did a fantastic job making those paper flowers! Don’t you just love them?

Nothing says preppy like some vintage books, a few old luggage bags, and an antique car!

Again, great job on these gorgeous paper flowers. We Sacramento wedding photographers were so amazed by these wonderfully crafter paper flowers! Wow!

Back in 2010, we were the lucky San Francisco photographers assigned to shoot Victoria Card’s/ SFGirlBytheBay‘s apartment for the coveted Rue Magazine. Oh my gosh, we were so blown away! Victoria’s apartment is a virtual wonderland of visual treasures. Every where I looked, there were cute little details and curiosities. I loved the level of care and attention that she put into every single living space she had, from her bohemian chic living room to her chalkboard walls in her darling little kitchen. Right down to the cherry sunshine yellow pot and kettle. Her office space has so many little goodies and gave me so much inspiration for our new studio. Victoria has an impeccable sense of style, her usage of the new, the offbeat and the occasional glam pieces are to die for. And ultimately I love the clean white space and walls juxtaposed with her dark pieces. Everything made it so cheery and peaceful. And I love her collection of V’s, don’t you?

001 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Check out all the details on her mantelpiece. So cute!! 002 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Love all the clean black and white pieces, and oh my god, David Sedaris!!! Good one, Victoria. 003 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 004 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay The to die for chalkboard wall and cute little decal. Makes me want to drawl all over it! Too adorable! 005 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Don’t you love how the blue of the lampshade picks up the blue book cover? Darling! 006 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 007 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay This is giving me inspiration to collect odds and ends in the office. Love all the colors! 008 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Isn’t the clean bright light in her apartment, gorgeous? And the bedding is to die for! 009 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 010 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 011 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Everything is placed so very thoughtfully and with such delicate purpose! I love all the old vintage photos together on one huge moodboard! 012 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay What a clever way to hang cards and letters from friends!! Now if only my friends would send me letters instead of emails! 013 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay Fresh flowers brighten up any room! Yay for flowers! 015 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 014 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay 017 Rue Magazine + SFGirl By the Bay And thanks so much to the Rue Magazine girls for letting us participate in this amazing shoot and magazine.
