Sol Harvest Farm

May 31st, 2012

Today we’re excited to share a peek at Sol Harvest Farm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Run by husband and wife team Ric and Aimee, Sol Harvest is a small, urban, organic farm offering local, seasonal, year-round fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers!

Sol Harvest Farm also runs a CSA where members receive a weekly harvest box of local produce by paying in advance, investing in local agriculture, their community and their health! CSA stands for community supported agriculture, which supports small farms and gives members access to the freshest produce locally.

Sol Harvest is always looking for new volunteers. You can check out their website for updates on their Monday night work parties and potlucks!

These guys make farming fun!

For current Sol Harvest CSA members, this week’s harvest box includes “outrageously tasty turnips”, spring mix, kohlrabi, and mizuna.

Can produce get any fresher than this?

Aren’t Ric and Aimee (and their volunteer friends) just the cutest? We had so much fun hanging out with them and watching them in action at Sol Harvest. Sol Harvest is also the resident farm at Farm & Table Restaurant! You can see what’s fresh from the fields each day at Farm & Table. Eating locally and organically is easy and delicious here.

We can’t wait to see what Sol Harvest Farm has in store for the future! We can’t thank Ric and Aimee enough for allowing us to photograph a day at the farm. Be sure to check them out online and show them some love!

One last look at Brittany and Scott’s Sonoma engagement photos from our beautiful day at Cornerstone Sonoma. We first met Brittany and Scott at a Tinywater family mini session in San Francisco and recently photographed their wedding at the Sonoma Community Center with a reception at El Dorado Kitchen following the ceremony.

There are lots of little secret sitting areas and vignettes perfect for Brittany and Scott’s Sonoma engagement photos through the Gardens at Cornerstone Sonoma. We love how the geometric bamboo-like structures frame this little bench and the two lovebirds during our Sonoma engagement photos.

What’s he doing up there? It looks like Scott was scoping out our next spot for more Sonoma engagement photos with his bride-to-be, Brittany. Or maybe getting a better view of Brittany’s silly little dance! We love hanging out with these two!

Will you look at that stunning engagement ring? The ring sparkled in the Sonoma wine country sunlight and really caught our eye. Brittany and Scott were so sweet together and perfect for our Sonoma engagement photos at Cornerstone Sonoma.

One of our favorite backdrops at Cornerstone is this super modern and bright blue and black wall! Perfect for this fun loving couple’s Sonoma engagement photos.

Kisses and silliness were running wild during our Sonoma engagement photos with Brittany and Scott. Can you tell how much fun we were having together as we galavanted around this incredible venue? We heart Cornerstone Sonoma!

A quick wardrobe change and we were off. I love these galvanized steel walls behind them to add the perfect pop of texture to this series of funny faces by these two. We ventured out towards the airport to play around with these vintage looking airplanes as a super cool prop for Brittany and Scott’s Sonoma engagement photos.

A vintage airplane, you ask? We say, of course! Perfect for showing off the whirlwind romance of Brittany and Scott – completely in love and not afraid to show it!

Could this engagement shoot have been any better? We don’t think so! We can’t thank Brittany and Scott enough for letting us capture their very special love story. We can’t wait until we can show off their Sonoma wedding right here on our blog in the future!

Here’s a little peek at what goes on at our Tinywater studio! A big box of photo booth props just arrived and we couldn’t help but have a little fun!

Brittany & Scott: Sonoma Engagement

May 29th, 2012

And we’re back with more beautiful images from Brittany and Scott’s Cornerstone Sonoma engagement session. If you haven’t had a chance to make it out to Sonoma to check out Cornerstone Gardens, then you are in for a treat! Cornerstone Sonoma “is an ever-changing series of walk-through gardens, showcasing new and innovative designs from the world’s finest landscape architects and designers. The first such gallery-style gardens in the United States, the nine-acre Cornerstone Gardens was created as an inspiration and resource for people interested in gardens, garden design and art.”

Cornerstone Sonoma is conveniently located at the gateway to Sonoma and Napa wine country! While you are there you can peruse the shops, wineries, and grab a bite at the gourmet cafe on site. With all of this awesomeness, it’s no wonder Brittany and Scott chose Cornerstone Sonoma for their gorgeous engagement session with us!

This might be one of my favorites from this Sonoma engagement session. But with so many awesome portraits of Brittany and Scott, it is really hard to choose! We just love how happy Brittany looks to be preparing to marry her best friend and the way Scott looks over at her with such an endearing and comfortable smile.

We’re loving this bright red wall as a backdrop for more Sonoma engagement photos of Brittany and Scott. And it’s perfectly paired with Brittany’s bright yellow sweater!

A sneaky peek at an intimate moment between the bride and groom to be!

We can’t get through an engagement session without a silly session of funny faces and a long laugh to follow! Brittany and Scott were a dream to work with, both in this Cornerstone Sonoma engagement session and their recent wedding we also photographed!

This fun pipe is part of the Planet Horticulture garden at Cornerstone Sonoma. Designed by David McCrory and Roger Raiche in 1996, this exhibition is a “celebration of color, texture, diversity, light, space and life.” We love the unique lighting we get inside the pipe and the fun silhouettes Brittany and Scott were able to make together.

Tomorrow we’ll be back with one last post from Brittany and Scott’s super sweet Sonoma engagement!
