Day 2. The big ceremony day. Aneesh rode down the street on a huge horse and there were dancing on the streets. The neighbors watched from the back of their vans, eating ice cream and pretzels. The procession moved deliberately. At the front gate, Cherry’s family stood firm and would not let Aneesh into the house according to tradition. Aneesh bargained with the women until the right price was met. Inside, Cherry was getting dolled up with her friends and she truly was beautiful in her traditional dress and veil, which by the way, weighed a ton! Dinner was great and was followed by dancing. The ceremony then started at 11pm and the couple was pronounced married at midnight!
