This little girl, Maggie, is a two year old Dachshund mix. It makes us so happy that not long after visiting Happy Tails as their Sacramento dog photographer, Maggie was adopted and given a forever home! After a truly sad story of the previous owner dumping Maggie and the rest of her family at a shelter, Happy Tails rescued her and gave her a very happy ending.

We instantly fell in love with this blonde beauty, Tammy, when we were visiting Happy Tails as their Sacramento dog photographer! She is about 2 1/2 years old, a terrier/Chihuahua mix and still looking for a forever home. Happy Tails found her running by the river, scared from being all alone. Now that she has been rescued, she would love to become part of your family. She is very smart, potty trained, and great with cats! She loves to play and one requirement is that she be adopted into a home with another playful dog. Tammy can’t wait to meet you! Read more about her on the Happy Tails Facebook page here.

This girly girl is Hope. She was a real cutie, and tiny! When we visited as her Sacramento dog photographer, we picked her up and at only 6 pounds, she is as light as a feather.

“I am about 4 years old. I am a little Dachshund mix. My owner dumped me at a shelter along with my doggy family. When Happy Tails heard that I was at the animal shelter, they came to my rescue. I am learning all kinds of new things at my foster home. I love to prance about and wiggle with excitement when my foster mom comes home. I get along with other dogs and cats – they don’t bother me at all.”

Above is Tasha! Tasha is a sweet senior girl, spending most of her days sleeping on a nice dog bed inside a warm home, but also loves rolling around in the grass and going for brisk walks. She is about 35 pounds, is a little hard of hearing, and with a bit of arthritis in her hips but she is still playful and has a lot of love left to give! She is good with other dogs and cats and quickly bonds to her people. Give Tasha a forever home to live out the rest of her days with a family to love!

Our last pup from our day as a Sacramento dog photographer is Timmy. “I am a 1 year old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix and I weigh 13 pounds. I am a very gentle boy and I especially love cuddling and playing with children. I get along with other dogs and do ok with cats. I like riding in the car and meeting new people. I am house trained, neutered, have all of my shots, and I’m microchipped! I just want some love!”

Happy Tails: Sacramento Dog Photography

Did you know that in addition to being a wedding photographer, Tinywater‘s Caroline used to be a Sacramento dog photographer? We’re revisiting that super fun and furry pastime with a little feature on our friends, Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. We paid Happy Tails a visit recently to photograph some of their current adoptable pups, and we can’t wait to show them off and help find them loving forever homes! This is sweet little Jackson! Jackson is a 6 year old Terrier mix, weighing in at just under 20 pounds. From the Happy Tails Facebook page:

“He is a shy little guy at first but once he gets to know you, will be your best little buddy. He is a very sweet and affectionate little guy. Jackson prefers women but might be okay with a gentle male. He loves playing with other dogs his size. He is crate-trained but would love to sleep in bed with you if you don’t mind. Jackson is fully potty trained and is trustworthy to be home alone without issue.”

Up next is Remy! We had so much fun photographing Remy and his perky ears as Happy Tail’s Sacramento dog photographer. He is a super cute 1 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing in at just 10 pounds.

“I love being held and kissed and especially having my belly rubbed. I also love sitting on the couch watching TV while wrapped up in a blanket. I get along with other small dogs although I am not really playful with them. I would do best in a home with someone who is home often. I am neutered, have all of my shots, heartwood negative, and have a microchip. I am ready to be adopted!”

As the school year rounds it’s final turn for many highschoolers, Sacramento senior portraits are on the mind of the parents of those graduating. We took a stroll through the park with the super cute Karina, and we couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful day! The sun was shining through the trees and helped us capture the perfect natural light Sacramento senior portraits. We know how important this milestone is for the seniors graduating and preparing for their move away from home for college and everything the world has in store for them and we want to capture these moments for your family to cherish forever!

We love how natural Karina was in front of the camera for her Sacramento senior portraits! For many Sacramento senior portraits, we know that this might be one of the first times your senior is in front of a professional camera – but we love these fun sessions and always get along with whoever is on the other side (perhaps because we are truly still kids at heart)!

Karina’s Sacramento senior portraits included a wardrobe change, and we couldn’t have chosen a cuter outfit! We love how her session showed different sides of her eclectic style – first in her flowing and whimsical blue dress for a more feminine style, and next with a cool leather jacket with a peek of animal print underneath. Her picks went perfectly with our two locations of the park and a more urban setting for her Sacramento senior portraits.

We had a blast playing and running around Sacramento with Karina for her Sacramento senior portraits. This girl has it all – looks and a super fun personality! We felt like we were hanging out with an old friend, giggling our way around town.

When baby girl Harper came into the studio a few weeks ago for her Sacramento newborn photography session she was an absolute angel! We loved bundling her up in cozy blankets and baskets, and it was so special for us to be part of her very first photo shoot.

The black and white photographs from Harper’s Sacramento newborn photography session are some of our favorites. It is pretty amazing how small those toes are! We love the family portraits we got of Harper being hugged by mom and dad, Brittany and Jason. These Sacramento newborn photography images will be great for sending out birth announcement cards to their family and friends.

The natural light was perfect for our studio shoot. We love being able to provide Sacramento newborn photography to families because we want to capture how tiny these babies are at just a few weeks old! They grow up so quickly and we know how precious these moments are to parents.

Harper has the cutest baby wardrobe! We can’t get enough of these pink lace bloomers, floral baby headbands, and her strawberry beanie that her mommy brought along for her Sacramento newborn photography shoot. She looked so cozy as she drifted off to sleep on her plush white blanket.

Since this Sacramento newborn photography session was on location at River’s house, we were able to get a peek at all of River’s toys and goodies in his room, just awaiting the day that he can play with all of them!

How precious is this little boy all wrapped up in blue? River’s parents loves yoga, running, and meditation. We just know he is going to be such a sweet boy growing up in such a beautiful family! We were so lucky to be able to spend the day with these guys as we captured their images during our Sacramento newborn photography session.

I love how these black and white photos came out from River’s Sacramento newborn photography session. The family was dressed in black with little River in white to create this perfect contrast between him and the ‘grown-ups’.

We were so happy to have the whole family present for our Sacramento newborn photography session. In addition to their puppy who made a guest appearance in a few of the photos, big sister Savina was able to join us for some fun family portraits.
