Love you guys,

Jessica + K.C.

They giggled and they laughed as the wind blew through their hair. Haley’s blue eyes sparkled like the sea water. Something about the way he snuggles into her makes her smile. There’s something secretive about each embrace. Jessica and K.C, you guys were a joy to work with and we can’t wait til your wedding day!

Karen + Chris

She smiled when she saw the glistening red bicycle he had given her as a wedding present. Her eyes were shining and she looked radiant. She was so excited, talking rapidly about the day’s schedule. She just could not wait! In the other room, he was with his boys, joking and laughing the way boys do. There was a ball and chain key chain on his bag, a gift from his boys. JD shots helped calmed the nerves.

He took one last big breath behind the wall before he headed towards the altar. His face lit up as she walked down the aisle in the large light filled atrium of the Library Galleria. The ceremony was short and sweet, as they exchanged rings, she pulled out his surprise gift from her dress, a season pass for the Sacramento Kings! He just about was ready to kiss her right then and there! After the first kiss as husband and wife, they dance down the aisle to cheers from everyone.

We headed to one of our favorite spots for their photos. The bridal party could not be more fun! They were dancing down the street as we headed towards the limo. At our second location, they were dancing and showing off their stuff as the music from the limo pumped and blared! Their Chinese banquet dinner was scrumptious and we even had time to squeeze in a quick shopping cart race across the street at Target with the boys after we got shots of them breaking on the streets! Their reception was beautiful and marked with more partying, flipcup and even more dancing!

Karen and Chris, thank you so much for having us! You guys were undoubtedly the best dancing crew we have ever had! And thanks to your bridal party for all the fun. Karen you were amazingly beautiful. Chris, you kept your cool and kept us on our toes. You guys, don’t ever stop dancing your life away!

In other news, we are giggly and excited; we just got an email from Missy Pfister saying that she and Parker liked our work. We are going to be floating all day!

Momma Spice

Momma Spice had 5 little golden puppies and we got to visit them when they were just days old. Their eyes weren’t even open yet!! Next week, we get to visit them again and see how they grow!

The Woods

Wow, what a wild ride! We left the office to get our learning on with Jeff and Julia Woods. Julia is amazing! We went there to learn more about the business side of photography and came home so inspired! She gave us new tools to shape our business better and also do more for our brides and couples. We are super excited! We shaped up our wedding collections, added more product offerings and are now working on a more solid portrait line that we will launch in the fall. Meanwhile, we got to develop our style even more and decide to dedicate ourselves even more to shooting how we want to shoot! We appreciate all our unique brides and staying true to ourselves and our brides is the key. Woot! We even got to meet super, super cool people!

Our shot

We even got to meet one of our idols, Parker Pfister! Turns out, Parker and his wife, Missy are good friends of Jeff and Julia and were helping out with the workshop. What a treat for us.

How can you go wrong when you haveParker assist in lighting, as another amazing photographer, Michael Schuhmann, looks on. Michael also came up from Tampa to help Jeff and Julia out.

Our shots

We got home on Thursday and headed off right away for the Sacramento Fair for an engagement session with Bernadette and Dave. We spent Friday meeting with Rachel and then drove off to the beach to shoot Ivy and Hugh’s newlywed session. Relax time on Saturday in Salinas for a dog competition with Milou and finally a wedshoot today! Stay tuned for those teasers as we return to blogging! We are so excited for the wedding today, we have some major ideas brewing in our brains!

Ok, one more!

Sallie + Paul

She’s giggly, cute and oh so tres chic. He is the one that makes her smile light up. They met online, they survived a long distance relationship and soon this cute couple will wed at the Villa Montalvo. They have such an easy comfort about them. So casual, but yet so urban. She has a love of shoes, I love her love of shoes, and he has a lotta of love for her.

We had so much fun walking around downtown with you two and getting to know you. You two make the quintessential city couple!

One of my yummy favorites

Sallie can do it too!
