Treats for the office! Who wants some?!

Ann and Tanner are such a beautiful couple, we couldn’t wait to share these vintage wedding photos and portraits from their Viansa Winery wedding! Read on for some of our favorite bride and groom portraits from this lovely wine country wedding day.

These two are so in love, we can still feel it just by looking at these pictures again! When Ann told us that her dream wedding was a ‘marriage between vintage and modern’, we knew we would love being their Sonoma wedding photographer from the start!

We had some fun when we began working with the wedding party. The vine covered trellises and walls provided a great background texture to shoot the family’s vintage wedding photos and portraits. Viansa Winery is located at the entrance to Sonoma Valley, less than an hour north from the Golden Gate Bridge. The property sits high upon a hilltop, providing breathtaking views of Sonoma Valley, vineyards and wetlands.

This vintage wedding photo of Ann and Tanner nestled in a corner of the Viansa property is one of our favorites!

A little dance is always a requirement for a Tinywater wedding day!

Ann and Tanner were great sports when we were moving them from different locations to get a variety of couple portraits.

We were absolutely swooning over Ann’s wedding gown! The layers upon layers of ruffles were stunning and moved so nicely with every twist and turn she took! The accessories she paired with it were simple yet elegant – a floral netted hair piece and vintage inspired crystal necklace. And who said you have to wear heels on your wedding day? Her off-white flats were a perfect addition to her outfit, and we loved the combination!

The natural lighting, vines, and beautiful couple made these vintage wedding photos a breeze to capture. We couldn’t ask for more from the bride and groom and from one of our favorite Sonoma venues, Viansa Winery.

We’ll leave you with one last vintage wedding photo of Ann in her incredible dress! We loved every minute of being Ann and Tanner’s Sonoma wedding photographer here at Viansa Winery, and we hope they enjoy their photos as much as we enjoyed taking them!

janice - I love it! cool

As Ann and Tanner’s Sonoma wedding photographer, we moved into the tented pavilion at the always gorgeous Viansa Winery for their reception. Their wedding colors of pale yellow, cream, and off-white paired perfectly with the elegant and larger than life white tent nestled here in the lush Sonoma, California’s wine country.

Ann was a very hands on bride when planning her wedding. With the help of her family and friends, they tackled the floral arrangements and table settings all on their own by hand! The centerpieces were vintage vases filled with crystal twigs, all collected by the family. Ann said she was very inspired by Anthropologie and an idea of ‘vintage marries modern’. Her hard work definitely paid off – everything turned out just as she imagined!

We love the texture the pleated tent creates for a ceiling, especially paired with those elaborate crystal chandeliers. If you’re going for a simple elegance, look no further than Viansa Winery – it is one of our favorite venues as a Sonoma wedding photographer.

We loved the way the reception was set up with a large dance floor in the middle of the tent. It was perfect for us as Ann and Tanner’s Sonoma wedding photographer when we were capturing photos of their very special first dance as husband and wife.

It was a blast being this couple’s Sonoma wedding photographer! These guys loved getting out on the dance floor with all of their family and friends to celebrate their love. It’s so easy for us to capture both classic and funny photos with couple’s as fantastic as Ann and Tanner.

As the sun set below the vine covered hills in Sonoma, the twinkle lights shined on, illuminating the Viansa Winery tented pavilion for this fun reception. It was nice to have various light to work with as the couple’s Sonoma wedding photographer.

The chandeliers set a different mood once they turned on and the candles were lit. Ann and Tanner’s cake was simple and pretty, adorned with fresh garden roses in varying shades of pink.

Isn’t this building just gorgeous? We love the vine covered walls, it really evokes the lush wine country setting we played in all day as Ann and Tanner’s Sonoma wedding photographer. Next post we will share a few of the vintage style portraits we captured of the beautiful couple!

Viansa Winery in Sonoma, California is one of the most beautiful locations in all of Northern California. Viansa Winery describes their location best, “Viansa sits majestically upon a hilltop, providing breathtaking views of Sonoma Valley, vineyards, olive groves and wetlands. When you visit Viansa, you will feel like you are in Italy. All of our buildings and surroundings are Tuscan inspired. As in Italy, here at Viansa it is all about the marriage between great food, great wine and great people.” You can imagine how ecstatic we were when we arrived at this Viansa Winery oasis for Ann & Tanner’s wedding day! We loved being able to peek over the grapevines to catch some seriously incredible views of the landscape.

Ann and Tanner chose Viansa Winery for its destination wedding feel, which also created a more intimate setting for their selective guest list of 50. Ann was quite a DIY bride – creating all of the floral arrangements and decor herself with the help of her family and friends! She gathered a lot of her inspiration from poking around Anthropologie stores and collecting vintage vases and just drawing from her own personal style. Their wedding colors were a palette of pale yellow, soft cream, and off-white, pairing perfectly with the soft lusciousness of the Sonoma County landscape.

Ann was such a fun bride to work with! We loved sharing a laugh with her and her family before the ceremony.

Tanner and his mother sharing a quiet moment minutes as the ceremony begins inside the intimate Viansa Winery wine cellar.

Ann was absolutely gorgeous as she made her way down the aisle. The sun trickled through the doors into the wine cellar just perfectly to capture everyone’s entrance into the cellar for the ceremony.

This wine cellar room created the cozy and personal feel Ann was looking for. The best part about this smaller venue is that all guests in attendance feel included.

Following Ann and Tanner’s wine cellar ceremony everyone made their way towards Viansa Winery’s lovely white tented pavilion for dancing and reception fun! We also took some amazing portraits of the couple and their wedding party against the breathtaking backdrop of Sonoma County’s landscape.

Emma - WOW! beautiful and what a fantastic venue!
Katherine - Beautiful!I enjoyed my time spent on your lovely blog. Hugs!

When Maia and Alex approached us at Tinywater about shooting their wedding, they said they loved our personal, intimate approach and vintage wedding photos. We knew that with the ideas and location they had in mind, it would be a match made in heaven! Joining the lovely couple at Ocean Song Farm and Wilderness Center in Occidental, California, we were able to capture vintage wedding photos of the couple atop the “rolling ridgetop grasslands, rugged canyons, oak woodlands, and redwood groves hosting fields of colorful wildflowers” throughout their big wedding day.

The fog began to roll in just as Maia and Alex’s traditional Jewish ceremony came to a close. The fog diffused the light just perfectly as we snapped some of our favorite vintage wedding photos and couple portraits of the day.

Maia looks so lovely in this light! It also helped that she was the epitome of a glowing bride on her wedding day. We had so much fun taking both posed and candid portraits of her throughout the Ocean Song property.

The mix of soft brown grassy fields, lush green forests, and wildflowers throughout the Sonoma landscape allowed us to take a variety of vintage wedding photos all within a walk of each location.

Maia and Alex were great to work with, and we couldn’t wait to play around with some portraits including their bright blue vintage car.

We couldn’t stop giggling with these two, it was more like play taking these couple portraits! The large boulders sprawled across the landscape was a fun texture to play with as a backdrop to these vintage wedding photos.

The best part of being a Napa wedding photographer is capturing real love between two people. It makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

As the fog settled in, so did the chill in the air. After the lovely traditional Jewish wedding ceremony and couple portrait session, we slowly made our way out of the wildflower fields and into the cozy Ocean Song barn for Maia and Alex’s fun vintage reception. We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend the day with at one of our favorite locations in Nothern California’s wine country!

We here at Tinywater were so excited to capture all of their fun vintage inspired barn wedding photos at the reception following Maia and Alex’s traditional Jewish ceremony outdoors at Ocean Song Farm and Wilderness Center. “Located in the serene coastal hills of Sonoma County, guests are delighted by the rustic and elegant beauty and magical qualities of this place.”

As soon as we caught a glimpse of the Ocean Song Big Barn we couldn’t wait to get inside for a few peeks at their celebration room and indoor stage! The Sonoma County location really is the best of both indoor and outdoor weddings, with something to please any bride’s preference, and as a wine country photographer, we couldn’t wait to start snapping some of Maia and Alex’s barn wedding photos.

The vintage wildflower inspired floral arrangements were designed by Heather over at Blue Orchid Floral. Heather gathers all of her materials from the San Francisco Flower Market and local growers which really allowed her to create some beautiful centerpieces for Maia and Alex’s reception. We love that they could have been handpicked right outside the barn from the Ocean Song property!

The guest seating cards were simple with an art deco design twist. We love the vintage display created with twine and clothespins created by Maia’s event coordinator, Jubilee with Jubilee Lau Events!

Capturing the couple’s barn wedding photos was so much fun, and everyone had a great time on the big dance floor inside Ocean Song’s Big Barn! Everyone was smiling when the father daughter dance began.

One of our favorite parts of this indoor reception was the lighting – twinkle lights hung from the rafters and the walls were lit up with warm accent lights. The lighting made all of our barn wedding photos so pretty and warm.

Instead of traditional cake stands, Maia and Alex’s wedding cakes stood atop stacks of their favorite vintage books! Details like this paired with the cute bell jars filled with moss and fresh wildflowers are so special and inspiring, we couldn’t help but share!

Isn’t the Ocean Song barn just lovely and so inviting? Next post we’ll show off a few of our favorite couple portraits from Maia and Alex that we captured on their perfectly foggy wedding day.
