This weekend, we celebrate Micah and Ryan's big day and we are oh so super excited!!

Just as we promised, more Los Angeles engagement photography style portraits with Kat and Gareth from Rock N’ Roll Bride! We can’t get enough of this pink haired beauty and her beau and are so excited to share a few more from their fun Southern California session.

Doesn’t Kat make you want to run out to your hair salon and ask for cotton candy pink hair? We are officially obsessed with her style!

More fun around the city. For a little insight on why we absolutely adore Kat and her Rock N’ Roll Bride blog, here’s a little snippet on what her site is all about:

“Being Rock n Roll is not about being ‘cool’, being a rebel or even thinking of the most unique idea you can, it’s about planning a wedding that reflects you and your partner and declaring your love in your way. To be featured on this site, you don’t have to be cool. You don’t have to be ‘out-there’ or ‘offbeat’, you just have to be you.”

We love it!

It wouldn’t be a Tinywater Los Angeles engagement photography session without a series of funny and silly faces!

These pastel pink columns matched perfectly with Kat’s ‘do!

As the sun set, we captured Kat and Gareth in these Los Angeles engagement photography style portraits.

We moved on into the shade of the regal and architectural beauty that is the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. The high ceilings and columns really frames this session of Los Angeles engagement photography perfectly.

Moving indoors, it was fun to use the ornate iron filigree gates and railings as a backdrop to Kat and Gareth’s Los Angeles engagement photography styled portrait session.

One last one inside the gorgeous Biltmore Hotel. The stone walls and rich chandeliers provided the perfect romantic setting for these last few photos. We can’t thank Kat and Gareth enough for playing the part of our newly engaged couple for these Los Angeles engagement photography images. We highly recommend that you stop by Kat’s super incredible blog, Rock N’ Roll Bride, for some wedding inspiration that you won’t want to miss!

Sneak Peek: Jason & Nick

May 22nd, 2012

We had so much fun this weekend with Jason and Nick while they exchanged vows at Durham Ranch that we couldn’t keep these to ourselves! Here are just a few sneak peeks at their gorgeous St. Helena wedding day. ♥

Today we are in for a real treat as we dive into Kat and Gareth of Rock N’ Roll Bride‘s Los Angeles engagement style photos! These two are responsible for one of our favorite wedding inspiration blogs on top of being one of our favorite married couples! Since we were both in Southern California at the same time we thought it would be fun to play around the city and take stage a few Tinywater Los Angeles engagement photos!

This bright yellow wall was a fun pop of color to use as a backdrop for these Los Angeles engagement photos. We instantly fell for both Kat and Gareth’s style and love that these two have no problem showing a little affection in public!

There was no better way to show off what city we were playing in for the weekend than perching upon some LA Weekly news stands! Kat’s pink bloomers peeked out from under her more demure black skirt for a flirty pop of color during her Los Angeles engagement photos.

Shooting within this urban landscape allowed for multiple colors and textures to make their way into these Los Angeles engagement photos.

Purple, yellow, blue and pink walls and bold graphic art created the perfect pairing for this Rock and Roll couple!

How awesomely punk is Kat’s bright pink hair do? These two are not afraid to show off their style and from the start we knew that we were in for some fun!

The Los Angeles palm trees provided just the perfect amount of shade from the warm Southern California sun.

Kat was a natural in front of the camera, showing us exactly why so many brides to be look to her for their wedding inspiration! We highly recommend stopping by Rock N’ Roll Bride to peruse her archives for some awesomely planned parties. Kat’s Rock N’ Roll Bride website boasts,

Rock n Roll Bride promotes individuality and general awesomeness within a cookie cutter, pastel and puke-worthy wedding world. Don’t let the wedding industry define your day – let *you* define your day.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Stay tuned tomorrow for a few more photos from this fun weekend in Los Angeles with Kat and Gareth!

Happy Anniversary to Jamie & Chris!

May 21st, 2012

Happy Anniversary to one of our very special Tahoe couples, Jamie and Chris! Jamie and Chris, we can’t believe it’s been a year since we had the pleasure of capturing your very special day and we wish you many more to come! ♥

As school rounds the corner towards graduation, parents have Sacramento senior portraits on their mind! We had the super cool Ian by recently for his Sacramento senior portraits for some photos in the studio and out and about town.

Ian currently attends the Sacramento Waldorf School and his hobbies are listening to music and visiting new cities. We connected instantly over our mutual love for thrift stores and Urban Outfitters! It was so much fun to show off his style through Ian’s Sacramento senior portraits.

With a sweet smile like that, we just know Ian will be smooth sailing once he hits college. His favorite places include Berlin, San Francisco, and Barcelona so you know Ian is well cultured!

We hit the outdoors and Ian threw on a pair of classic black shades. We love using Sacramento’s urban landscape for found textures and fun locations to shoot some unique and modern Sacramento senior portraits!

The light teal wall here provided a great contrast to Ian’s red checkered button down – a classic staple in this stylish Sacramento senior’s wardrobe.

The lighting was perfect as we moved from outdoor location to another through the city for these Sacramento senior portraits. Ian is into skiing in his free time, and Sacramento is the perfect location for a weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe for some fun in the snow!

We love the way the grungy background creates an interesting composition for Ian’s Sacramento senior portraits. Ian was so easy to work with, not complaining a bit as we asked him to smile and pose here and there.

Ian might look too cool for school, but in reality he’s just plain cool! With a keen fashion sense like his, he is sure to fit in wherever he goes.

Wrapping up this senior portrait session was bittersweet. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to meet Ian and we wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors – graduation and beyond! We hope this gave you a perfect little peek into our Sacramento senior portrait sessions, we just love being able to capture each teen’s individual style and personality for their families to cherish for years to come.
