Vintage Storybook Wedding

November 22nd, 2011

More of our vintage wedding photos from the oh so gorgeous fantasy set made possible with the wedding styling genius of Coquette Events! We had the cutest little flower girls complete with ballet flats and poofy white tutus from The Little Pea boutique.

Big white balloons filled the ballroom floor. As they slowly floated and drifted around the room it felt as if we were in a dreamy wonderland! These white hairpieces were composed of vintage cameo, jewels, and ostrich feathers, and really made for some beautiful bridal portraits and vintage wedding photos.

White layered petal pillows sat atop each golden chair at this whimsical ballroom reception.

The soft pastel floral arrangements by Botanica Floral Designs translated fantastically into our vintage wedding photos of this whimsical table. The table linens from Wildflower Linens were gorgeous and looked as if they were from a time when kings and queens coveted these luxurious heavy and metallic fabrics for their castles.

Big tulle pom poms were thrown around the bride and groom for a fun alternative to the more popular and delicate tissue paper pom poms. We love the soft layers and how the bunch make it seem as if the beautiful wedding couple is floating on a cloud of them.

It was easy to transform this ballroom into a magical fantasy wedding fit for a prince and his princess with the help of our friends from Coquette Events, Botanica Floral Designs, Wildflower Linens, and Classic Party Rentals.

Silver plated jewelry boxes were a great accent for the reception tables and our vintage wedding photos. We like to imagine there were secret treats nestled inside as if we were transported into the world of Alice and Wonderland.

The soft pastel pinks and greens were incorporated into the paper aspects of this whimsical day. We love the mix of the flourished borders and shape of the cards.

Vintage wedding photos of the couple and bridal portraits were inspired by storybooks of fairy tales and queens, like The Swan Princess. We can’t wait to share the incredible dessert bar created by Sugar & Spice in our next post!
